Privacy Policy for Team Truth 919

This Privacy Policy outlines how Team Truth 919 collects, uses, protects, and discloses information gathered through its website and, most critically, information related to student participation in the Truth Defined Program.

1. Information Collection

Website Use Data:

Standard non-personal data (browser type, duration of visit) collected via analytics to improve website functionality.

Student Program Data:

(Sensitive)Information required for program delivery and evaluation, collected via the Enrollment Form, Release of Information, and Facilitator Logs. This includes: academic grades, attendance records, disciplinary history, parent/guardian contact information, and self-reported student insights (e.g., resilience rating, personal goals).

2. Use of Student Program Data

Student Program Data is used strictly for the following purposes:

Program Fidelity and Mentorship: To tailor the Truth Defined Program curriculum to the specific needs of the student, ensuring lessons on advocacy and resilience are relevant.

Program Evaluation: To assess the effectiveness of the curriculum on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes (as specified in the Release of Information). All publicly reported evaluation data will be aggregated and anonymized.

Communication: To contact parents/guardians regarding program schedule, student progress, or mandatory Joint Sessions

(Lessons 11 & 12).

Mandated Reporting (Crucial Safety Protocol): Facilitators are mandatory reporters. If a facilitator receives information indicating a risk of harm to the student or others (including but not limited to self-harm, harm to others, or abuse/neglect), that information will be immediately reported to the necessary authorities (e.g., school administration, emergency services, or child protective services), overriding standard confidentiality.

3. Data Protection and Security

Team Truth 919 is committed to protecting sensitive data:

Access Control: Access to Student Program Data is limited to the program management team and the assigned facilitator on a need-to-know basis.

Retention: Data is retained only for the duration required for program evaluation (typically up to one year after a student's completion) and is then securely destroyed.

No Third-Party Sales: We do not sell, rent, or trade student personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Disclosure and Consent

Parental Consent: Enrollment and the collection of school records require explicit, written consent via the Release of Information and Consent Form, signed by the Parent/Guardian.

Confidentiality: Except for the mandatory reporting circumstances listed in Section 2, Student Program Data will not be shared with outside parties without explicit written consent from the Parent/Guardian.

5. Changes to this Policy

Team Truth 919 reserves the right to update this policy as necessary. Any changes will be posted on this webpage with the revised date.
